  1. Kindly check the haircut of boys and plaits of girls, shoes, uniform and punctuality of your ward before sending him/her to school. Please see that your child has taken proper/ healthy breakfast.
  2. Please see that your ward carries almanac, text/exercise books daily according to the Time Table of that day.
  3. Kindly ensure that he/she is well prepared for Tests/Examinations. Check his/her all answer sheets, Report Card and Teachers’ remarks in his/her classwork/homework exercise books and school almanac on a regular basis and put your signature.
  4. Send healthy & nutritious food and a fruit daily.
    • a) No student will be allowed to go home without the written permission of the Principal/ Supervisor / Class Teacher.
    • b) No child will be allowed to leave the school premises without his/her parent/guardian on days when a half day is required.
    • c) In case a child has to take a half day leave, an application should be sent in advance to the Principal / Supervisor / Class Teacher.
  5. In case of an emergency, when a parent cannot come to pick up his/her ward, an authority letter alongwith the photocopy of aadhaar card of that person who is coming to pick the child up, should be sent to the Class Teacher.
  6. Instruct your ward to be careful about his/her personal belongings. There should be a name tag on blazers, sweaters and shoes. Expensive articles should not be sent/ brought to school. Students are not allowed to wear jewellery in school. In case of violation of this rule, the articles will be confiscated. The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in school.
  7. Boys are not allowed to wear ear ring/studs. Girls are not allowed to wear gold ear rings. Students are strictly prohibited from applying mehndi, nail paint, hair colour or tattoo.
  8. Late comers will not be allowed to enter the class except in special cases as decided by the school authorities. Students will not be allowed to leave the school once he/she has entered, till dispersal. No reasons like weddings, functions, prior appointments with anybody etc. will be accepted. On examination days the child should not be encouraged to go to school only for giving the test. Half day leave will not be granted on examination days.
  9. Parents are requested not to give mobile phones and cameras to their wards under any circumstances.
  10. Students must accompany their parents on the PTM day in proper school uniform.
  11. Lunch boxes or any item should be handed over to the security guard at the gate. This is in the interest & safety of your ward.
  12. Any communication made by the parents should be addressed to the Principal and not to the Class Teacher. Mention your child’s name, address, admission no., phone no., class and section clearly.
  13. Do ensure that net-surfing by your ward is done only under your guidance and supervision.
  14. Kindly ensure that the bag of your ward is light-weight with proper compartments and must contain two broad & padded straps.
  15. Parents are requested to take corrective action against the use of abusive language and misbehaviour of their ward.
  16. Parents are advised to converse in English, if possible, with their wards to improve their speaking skills.
  17. Attendance of students is must in all school functions/celebrations.
  18. Parents should discuss the problems faced by their wards with the Subject teacher/ Class teacher/Supervisor/Vice Principal/Principal. In case of exigency they can also approach the Office/Principal directly.

ABSENCE

  1. Parents should fill up the 'Record for Non-Attendance' for each day, the student is absent from school, stating the reasons for his/her absence. Parents should discourage students from being absent from the school, without any genuine reason.
  2. Students, who require medical attention during school hours, are sent by the concerned teacher to the medical room with a note in the diary and the note is countersigned by the school Nurse.
  3. No one, who has been absent on the previous day, will be admitted to the class without a leave application from the parent, stating the reason for the absence.
  4. Leave can be granted on special grounds only.
  5. A student, returning to school after suffering from any infectious or contagious disease, should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him to attend the classes. This will be signed by the school doctor, on the basis of which the student will be admitted to the class.
    Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:
    • (a) Chicken Pox - All lesions are crusted
    • (b) Measles - For 4 days after the rashes disappear
    • (c) Mumps - For 9 days after the onset of swelling
    • (d) Whooping Cough - For 7 days after effective antibiotic therapy
    • (e) Viral, Swine flu - till full recovery
    • (f) Jaundice - till full recovery
  6. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than five consecutive days, renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted only on payment of a fresh admission fee.
  7. Outstation leaves will be sanctioned beforehand only on special grounds.
  8. No leave will be sanctioned during examination days.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. Parents may contact the teachers concerned regarding their ward's performance with prior appointment.
  2. Time table for Saturdays is notified in school calendar at a glance.
  3. Mobile phones, if claimed by the school authorities, will be returned only after the session is over.
  4. Parents should deposit their ward's fee directly to Axis Bank Ltd., E-9, Naraina Vihar, New Delhi-28 preferably by cheque/demand draft or online using Credit Card, Debit Card and Net Banking. Please visit school website http://gyanmandirpublicschool.com
  5. Only those who get qualifying certificates shall be eligible for admission to higher classes.
